Director of ACE Coaching and Teacher Training Services
In 1992 I obtained an upper 2nd class honours in Physical Education from the University of Greenwich in South East London. I then taught in a range of secondary schools between 1992-2001, raising to Head of Physical Education Department posts in two schools. In 2001 I undertook the post of Partnership Development Manager in Rochdale working with 36 primary and 8 secondary schools. This partnership became one of the most successful partnerships in the country offering a wide range of staff training and student competition and developing a number of unique examples of national good practice / sector leading activities. On a number of occasions I have delivered at national sports conferences and have appeared on Youth Sport Trust National Inspirational Partnerships videos. As well as organising teacher training I have developed a wide range of experience personally delivering teacher training and was a national trainer for TOPS Games, Athletics and Gymnastics programmes.
In 2011 I undertook the role of Regional PE and School Sport Manager for both Flintshire and Wrexham where working with over 144 primary and secondary schools across both authorities I have been able to offer strategic assistance to raise PE achievement and teaching standards across Key Stages 1-4. The two authorities have quickly become high performing authorities for PE and a vast number of staff have, received training that I have organised and personally delivered.
As well as my teaching and teacher training experience I have a wide range of Club Coach Level 2 National Governing Body Qualifications and have been able to work on a wide range of successful funding bids to assist both schools and clubs to apply for funding.
I believe that my teaching, training, bid writing, coaching and strategic sport experience enables me to offer through Ace Coaching and Teacher Training Services LTD a wide range of products and services to schools developed through my 20 years + educational teaching background.
